How Do I Register MY Student?
2024-2025 registrations will be available
in may
2023-2024 registrations are online!
You cannot enroll your student until two of the following things have happened:
In addition, if your child is coming from home school or a private school, evaluation will be required for placement. Evaluation for placement will take place at our Instruction office in Prince Frederick.
- Your child must be withdrawn from their current school . A child cannot be registered into two schools at the same time. If your child is on home instruction your child must have their course work complete and be evaluated at our Instruction Department at Central Office in Prince Frederick. We CAN NOT move forward with registration until these perimeters are met.
- You are LIVING in Calvert County, zoned for Northern High School. If you are unsure of zoning you can check your address here.

To Enroll
New Student Registrations are ONLINE only
The following items are needed to complete your online enrollment so please have them available at time of completion of online form
--Parent Photo ID
- Transcript (VERY IMPORTANT-we will need to do a credit count to determine graduation requirements)
-Recent report card
-Birth Certificate
-Immunization Record
-IEP/504 if applicable
--Proof of Residency. The following are acceptable:
**If one or more of these items are not present this will delay the registration. I can request records from your students former school but we will need to wait until the school provides documents before moving forward.
Once you have gathered all documents
Click the link below and you will be directed to a portal complete all registration forms. You will need to create a new account and then you will then be directed to upload all items needed for registration. After the process is completed in FULL your information will be sent to your childs school counselor. The school counselor will contact you via phone to set up schedule selections for school year.

Scanning Recommendations
If using an iPhone, go to “Notes” and select the link to add a note. Select the camera and “scan document.” Once you take a picture of the document there are circles to align with the edges of the document. Select “keep scan." Continue scanning documents or select “save” and “done.” Then forward the document(s) to an email address or save it in a file.
Other free apps to scan documents are located in the app store for your device. If you download one of these free apps, you will be able to scan a document and email it to the school.

- A SIGNED, full, Notarized lease along with two additional, RECENT, pieces of mail
- If you are living with a relative or other person and do not have a rental agreement ONLY our Pupil Personnel Worker may accept other forms or information to validate a proof of residency. Contact NHS Pupil Personnel Worker at 443-550-8479.
- If you live OUT OF COUNTY, you may opt to pay tuition. Please call Student Services in order to create a tuition contract and make payment first: 443-550-8470.
